Rise and Shine

History speaks for itself, with volumes of knowledge left on the shelf
How can we expect to learn and not burn, if words are spoken, not felt
Enslaved once, and colonized twice, doesn’t matter if third world is naughty or nice
It’s about materials taken by imperials while women and children die

It’s all happened before and it still goes on
Culture constructed in the fashion of Babylon,
Babel is the tower that grows taller by the hour and selfishness remains the theme song.
It’s time to give some extra thought and put your brother man first
We control our destiny and we can heal our hurt
Bring a cure for the sickness of a deeply troubled world
The hypocrite will talk but he will never back his words
